In Barbieland everything is in its place, the hairstyle fits, the clothes and every accessory match, in short: it is a perfect world, at least on the outside. Anyone who wants to live here must adhere to the established norms. The lady of the house is blonde Barbie, with blonde Ken at her side. When one of the other Barbies behaves too eccentrically for the community´s taste, she is banished. She ends up in the real world and discovers what adventures there are to experience. But it also makes her realise what true perfection means, and that it cannot be measured by looks. She returns to Barbieland and wants to share her newfound knowledge with her friends there.
